7th Grade Art STUDIO.

New in 2016!  

 

We are excited to announce a new art class offering at HMS.  7th grade students make elect to take this year long art class, rather than the semester long 7th Grade Art Class.  Because they will have the course for 2 semesters, students in Art Studio will have the opportunity to dig deeper and really pursue their artistic ideas and techniques.   

 

Students in Art Studio will be introduced to various art mediums - both 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional - as well as a variety of artists and styles to inspire their own art creations.  

​

In addition to the exploration and practice with different media, students will envision and create artworks that are uniquely their own.  These "WOW" or Well-made Original Works, will be on display at our Art Shows.

We are taking a closer look at the world around us, at ourselves and at the artwork of others. This can be exciting and a little intimidating, but it is certain to transform us into better students and better people.
